Norman received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver after a 24-year military career.  The experiences and challenges of his “previous life” provided a strong foundation from which to provide a therapeutic perspective with people today.  His firm understanding of trauma allows him to work well with individuals and couples who struggle today with the impact of past hurts.  He has also been appointed to The Adams County Community Screening Committee and has been a member for the last 10 years.

Ms. Smith earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1998 and is credentialed as a Certified Addiction Counselor Level III. She has been employed in the field of addiction counseling for over a period of 12 years and employs Motivational Interviewing as well as Cognitive Behavioral approach to treatment.

Dr. Watson received his PhD in Communications in 1978 from the University of Colorado and his MSW from Colorado State University. He has been employed in the addiction field for over 30 years as both a professor of Human Services at Metropolitan Sate College of Denver and as a Drug/Alcohol counselor. After retiring from MSCD in 2003, he worked for nearly three years as a License Clinical Social Worker with Colorado West Regional Mental Health Center in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He uses a brief solution focus therapeutic approach informed by family of origin issues.

Mr. Jacobson earned his Masters Degree in Institutional Counseling from University ofNorthem Colorado in 1992 and is credentialed as a Certified Addiction Counselor III. Layne has worked in the addictions field over 26 years. Mr. Jacobson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and ATP approved provider by the Department of Corrections. Mr. Jacobson utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Solution-Focused approach to treatment.
